Bring Me The Horizon Smash London's Wembley Arena

The Sheffield Band Mark Their Return To Their Home Country With Hit-Filled Set!

Last night, Sheffield born and bred metalcore act Bring Me The Horizon played their biggest show to date with a sell out show at Londons SSE arena. They certainly proved that there is a place for rock music in Brtain and it is not something that will simply dissapear as said recently by Kiss bassist Gene Simmonds.

But Bring Me The Horizon put this argument to bed, with first song Shadow Moses throwing an amazing punch straight down the middle of Wembley Arena with not one of the 12,000 voices not telling lead singer Oli Sykes that "This is Sempiternal".

But the hype for this gig has been occuring for months now and those fans that waited over night to get a place standing on the barier were treated to Horizon at their best and occasions where Mr Sykes was screaming into the faces of a few lucky individuals.

Bring Me The Horizon are definitley an act that have earnt this sold-out show, and for a band that has been heavily criticised throughout their career, have definitley shown those who have denounced them to strongly consider them again.

We can also learn that Bring Me The Horizon are possibly one of the greatest bands that the UK has produced over the last decade, and that they are certainly suited to playing crowds of this size and can certainly do battle again soon. Perhaps we will see them headlining festivals and I would like to think that next time they play Wembley it won't be the arena but maybe the stadium.

Bring Me The Horizon Played:

  • Shadow Moses

  • Go to Hell, for Heaven's Sake

  • The House of Wolves

  • Diamonds Aren't Forever

  • It Never Ends

  • And the Snakes Start to Sing

  • Alligator Blood

  • Empire (Let Them Sing)

  • Chelsea Smile

  • Pray for Plagues

(with former guitarist Curtis Ward)

  • Blessed with a Curse

  • Antivist

  • Sleepwalking

Encore

  • Hospital for Souls

  • Drown
